LEED Green Associate
To pass the GBCI exam that awards this professional accreditation, it requires an understanding of LEED's core concepts and strategies, but it does not require the hands-on technical knowledge that, for example, architects and engineers bring to the actual construction or renovation of a building. The Green Associate is now designated a Tier 1 accreditation and is the credential available at this tier. At present, the multiple-choice test is expected to take up to two hours.
The LEED AP + Building Design & Construction (BD&C) specialty replaces the LEED AP for New Construction accreditaion. This program is geared toward professionals participating in the design and construction phases of durable and economic high-performance buildings.
Exam Eligibility Fulfilled - The GBCI requires that in order to be eligible to sit for the Green Associate Exam, you must have some level of green building experience. Taking this class counts as the experience you need to be eligible to sit for the GA Exam.
